About us

The doctors and staff at Park Farm Medical Centre are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. Park Farm Medical Centre can be accessed via a ramp, with an intercom if patients need assistance. Automatic swing and sliding doors are in operation, corridors, doors and a toilet that accommodates a wheelchair. A lift is available to the first floor waiting and consultation rooms.

We run many clinics, including the management of chronic diseases such as:

  • Asthma and COPD
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic Heart Disease

We are a long established general practice local to the North-West sector of Derby and its surroundings. We also have a branch surgery, The Vernon Street Surgery at 10 Vernon Street, DE1 1FR , which is a refurbished Georgian building located in a conservation area near Friargate. The building can be accessed via a ramp, with an intercom if patients need assistance.

Park Farm Medical Centre is committed to educating and training the NHS workforce of the future. We are a GP and student nurse training practice, and we also regularly host medical students from the University of Nottingham, including Graduate Entry Medical Students. We are invested in the development of the new University of Derby Medical School and support their ethos of training and retaining expertise in Derby and Derbyshire. On a less regular basis we have also hosted other allied professional students including pharmacy and paramedic students as well as offering work experience to school students considering a career in healthcare.

Our GP Doctors in Training are qualified doctors who are specialising in General Practice. Their placements vary from 4 months to 15 months.

Our Nurse supervisors are Lynsey, Sophie, and Nicola.

Our GP trainers are Dr. Boshell, Dr. Dhamrait and Dr. Ahluwalia.

Our GP Tutors for medical students are Dr Dhamrait, Dr. Kitchen and Dr. Potluri. Our GP Doctors in Training are also involved in Medical Student Teaching.
