The Vernon Street Surgery will be closed from Thursday 19th September until Friday 27th September 2024. We plan to re-open on Monday 30th September

IMPORTANT UPDATE – PLEASE READ

The Vernon Street Surgery will be closed from Thursday 19th September until Friday 27th September 2024. We plan to re-open on Monday 30th September.

This is for essential maintenance work to repair the property after significant water damage caused by the extreme rainfall experienced in the last 12 months.

We have explored all options to try and keep the surgery open during this maintenance. However, due to the extent of the damage, and the necessary work required, we have no choice but to close Vernon Street for a short period.

Incoming calls that are made to either Park Farm Medical Centre or The Vernon Street Surgery, all come through to a central phone system. Therefore, you can continue to call The Vernon Street Surgery as normal throughout this period. We will be basing more of our reception team at Park Farm Medical Centre during the Vernon Street closure, to ensure that there is no impact on patients trying to call the practice.

Our clinicians, including our team of GPs and nurses will be based at Park Farm during the Vernon Street closure. Some of the GPs and nurses may be working out in the community, seeing our housebound patients, or visiting the care homes we manage, during this period. This will ensure we can operate with all our usual clinicians, even if we have fewer rooms across both sites.

Patients who are registered with The Vernon Steet Surgery, will as always, be able to attend Park Farm Medical Centre for appointments, queries, or collections.

Maintenance work will continue at The Vernon Street Surgery for at least a further two weeks after we re-open on Monday 30th September, however this should have minimal impact on the patients and staff.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may cause for some of our Vernon Street patients. We will continue to do everything within our power to minimise the disruption.

Kind Regards,

Park Farm Medical Centre & Vernon Street Surgery
